The Federal Aviation Administration task force has reached a compromise with registration guidelines for Unmanned Aerial Vehicles.

The final recommendations of the task force were submitted to the FAA Saturday. Earl Lawrence with FAA and Dave Vos of Google X were the UAV Registration Task Force co-chairs.

Lawrence says the task force was extremely diverse.

?From companies that are making toys to airline pilots association and everything in between. I wanted to highlight that because that is why it is even more remarkable that the final report is a consensus report with no dissenting opinion,? Lawrence said.

Google X?s Dave Vos says he is glad everyone compromised too.

?It is a great statement that all of the members on this task force really rolled up their sleeves and willing to work hard to find the right compromise and I always say nobody gets exactly what they want but everyone got almost what they want and that by definition is a good compromise for everyone to have reached,? Vos said.

Lawrence says the following recommendations are from the task force. The FAA will then use these recommendations to draft a rule.

?The task force recommend the agency collect a name and physical address or street address. Not a P.O. Box but where someone is physically located. That is also important to rural America because their mailing address is separate from their street address,? Lawrence said.

Lawrence says they will take this report and add it to all the public comments and group all recommendations together to draft a proposed rule. The FAA and the Department of Transportation are currently reviewing the draft rule and draft recommendations.
