Illinois Senator Tammy Duckworth recently spoke at a biofuels’ infrastructure funding announcement in her state and despite a recent vote towards billions in electric vehicle tax credits, she made it clear she is in favor of ethanol biofuel and the ethanol industry.

Duckworth has a track record of promoting ethanol. She just fought successfully to include funds for E85 and E15 pumps in the just enacted Inflation Reduction Act. Duckworth also says that ethanol biofuel is key in reducing emissions.

Duckworth dismissed studies that claim ethanol production adds to climate emissions. USDA Secretary Tom Vilsack, accompanying Duckworth in Illinois, added that millions in new help for biofuels will spur the U.S. to be the ?global leader? in climate-smart Ag and bio-based products.
