For the first time in 40 years, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has given approval on a new nitrification inhibitor.

The EPA gave approval to a new nitrification inhibitor called Centuro from Koch Agronomic Services. Dr. Greg Schwab discusses the nine years they have spent on this project.

Centuro helps to reduce potential nitrate leaching and denitrification, allowing farmers to get a much higher return on their nitrogen investments while protecting the environment.

Schwab says the product has done well in several university studies.
