Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Acting Administrator Andrew Wheeler visited the Iowa State Fair on Monday Afternoon. Wheeler met with representatives of all the commodity groups to hear their concerns.

Administrator Wheeler said it was good to talk with Iowa commodity groups about what the EPA is trying to do. Wheeler says the goal is to provide more certainty to ag producers.

One topic Wheeler highlighted was bringing clarity to the Waters of the United States (WOTUS) rule.

Wheeler also said he was able to hear concerns about the Renewable Fuels Standard (RFS) and Renewable Volume Obligations (RVO?s) and talk about the progress the EPA is trying to make.
