The world of drones, or Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs), has taken off. There are now over 100,000 licensed drone pilots. The number of drones used on farms is significant, but many users do not yet know what to do with the data they are receiving.

The hobby of flying drones is big, but the mining of usable data is just beginning.

Dr. Greg Crutsinger, of Drone Scholars, spoke at Bayer?s AgVocacy Forum ahead of 2018 Commodity Classic. I spoke to Dr. Crutsinger about his background with drones and the future of this aerial platform.
