The Farm Bill must move in April, to make it to the floor and passage by September 30 when the current legislation runs out. There is no new money. Total dollars down, an estimated 100 million.

House Agriculture Committee Chairman Michael Conaway (R-TX) has a bold plan to help people get off government food assistance. It is so bold that the Democrat Ranking Member of the Ag Committee, said his party will not support it. Still, Chairman Conaway believes he can sell his concept and bring the parties together in the next few weeks.
