When the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA) was reached, dairy farmers were excited. It seemed Canada had relented on the hang-ups the U.S. had with their dairy program. But how excited should they really be?

The details of the USMCA have been looked at. Mark Stephenson, director of dairy policy analysis for the University of Wisconsin-Madison says while dairy farmers should feel positive, hold your horses just a little.

Stephenson touches on the high points of USMCA for dairy.

Jeff Lyon, general manager for FarmFirst Dairy cooperative, says getting resolution with Canada over Class-7 pricing was a win for the U.S.

We still must wait until the USMCA is formally approved by all three countries.
