The merge of Dow and DuPont is complete. The second phase is to form three separate companies and spin them off. Corteva AgriScience is the agricultural division and is expected to become independent in June 2019.
I spoke with Judd O?Connor, who is responsible for DowDuPont’s commercial business.
“Yesterday (Monday) was a big day for us, in our journey to becoming a pure play Ag company, when we announced Corteva AgriScience,” O’Connor said. “We?ve been working towards spinning out three publicly traded companies: a material science company to be called ‘Dow,’ a specialty business with all of the icon DuPont brand names. Then, what?s really core to us is this pure play Ag company, called Corteva AgriScience.”
