Iowa Congressman David Young kicks off his “Bringing in the Harvest” tour tomorrow.
Congressman Young plans to visit family farms, cooperatives and agribusinesses throughout his tour. The tour will offer Young insight on issues affecting Iowa’s farmers and agriculture economy.
More specifically, Congressman Young hopes to engage in conversations surrounding this year’s harvest, the importance of trade for Iowa’s agricultural economy and concerns the Congressman can take to Washington.
“The pulse of Iowa’s economy is agriculture.The heart of our state is our farmers,” Congressman Young said. “Each fall gives Iowans the opportunity to take special time to appreciate farmers and this remarkable process called the harvest. It makes me proud to Sebe an Iowan.”
Iowa Secretary of Agriculture Bill Northey and Iowa Deputy Secretary of Agriculture Mike Naig will join Congressman Young for visits in Cass, Adams, Taylor and Ringgold Counties.
