Congressman Lucas defends Market Facilitation Payments

The second round of Market Facilitation Payments has been made to farmers. They come from USDA to growers of various commodities based on the damage done to the market by our trade dispute with China.

It can also be argued that the money is being collected from Americans who continue to buy Chinese products that have a tariff imposed on them.

The past chairman of the House Ag Committee, Frank Lucas, was given a chance to defend the payments.
