Comfort Zone

“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.? -Joshua 1:9

Have you ever been asked to do something you feel completely unqualified to do?

Has God ever placed something on your heart that you thought seemed completely impossible for you to accomplish?

I’ve been there. A couple months ago God placed a calling on my life that was ridiculous.

The scene and the people I was called to reach were impossible. It was a lifestyle that I didn’t know anything about.

I didn’t, and still can’t understand why God laid it on my heart.

When I walked up to the building, and opened those doors I was completely out of my comfort zone.

Today, I am thankful God called to a place of people that I would normally stay away from.

I’ve learned that you can’t fulfill your calling in your comfort zone.

God’s calling in our lives has far more to do with who He is, rather than who we are.

Where do you need to step out of your comfort zone? What is He calling you to do?

Prayer: “God, thank you for pulling me out of my comfort zone to accomplish your calling on my life. Help me to be willing to step out of what feels normal to me. In your name I pray, Amen.”
