The number of combines sold went up while the number of tractors sold declined in 2022. Curt Blades, AEM senior vice president – industry sectors and product leadership, says the decline largely reflects the robust sales in 2020 and 2021.

Combine sales saw continued growth year over year and even month over month in December.

Supply chain issues are still a concern heading into 2023, but Blades says that the ag industry and farmers are adapting.

Electrification has been gaining momentum in the automotive industry and also being used in construction equipment.

Curt Blades says that electric farm equipment and vehicles will remain a topic of interest as well.

Blades says that technological innovations will continue and help farmers be more efficient in the future
