Combine sales continue to move higher

Despite the economic situation we have found ourselves in, the need to replace equipment is still ongoing. Machinery knows no economic situation and with grain prices still in a good place, farmers are keeping the sales of some machinery pieces growing. The recent report of June?s agricultural equipment sales from the Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM) shows that combine sales continued to rise in the last month.

Curt Blades is the Senior Vice President of Ag Services with AEM. He says that overall optimism is still fueling the purchase of our largest machinery investment in the combine.

Blades adds that the supply chain issues we continue to face are still limiting this year?s numbers compared with years past.

Blades says it is almost impossible to narrow our supply chain issues to one area. This is because different regions and different points along the supply chain have different challenges to overcome.

There has been a slowdown in the smaller ?Rural Lifestyle? tractors that aren?t used by many farm operations. They are more for those who have a small acreage to do work. Blades also looks ahead to the next six to twelve months.
