Combating disease pressure in soybeans with Miravis Neo

Soybeans are growing around Iowa and are entering into those early stages where we must do our post-emergence treatments to give them a strong start. While much of the focus this week has been on the tools available to combat weeds, farmers know that there are diseases out there that are going to be just as aggressive at robbing their soybean yields. Syngenta is ready with a product to help you face those leaf spot diseases in your soybeans.

Dean Grossnickle is an Agronomy Service Representative with Syngenta. He runs down some of the diseases we can expect to see pressuring Iowa fields this spring into summer. Those include frog-eye leaf spot, brown spot, and occasionally white mold.

Grossnickle talks about the signs you need to look for when scouting your fields for these diseases.

When it comes to treating these diseases, you must make sure you are being effective. Some of the leaf spot diseases in Iowa have been shown to be resistant, according to an Iowa State University study.

Syngenta?s Miravis Neo has shown to be effective against the QoI resistant strains of leaf spot. Grossnickle tells how it works.
