CHS analyst bullish on beans, bearish on corn

Let?s talk about markets – as the President is in Europe, getting a good reception at an economic summit and talking about the U.S. dollar. President Trump wants the U.S. dollar to be higher, but agricultural interests that export favor a cheaper dollar so our country is more competitive with other nations.

The dollar has dropped to 3-year lows and the euro has strengthened.

I spoke with a commodity analyst who doesn?t think the dollar is a primary mover of grain prices. He is more concerned about supply, demand and prospects for mother nature to reset the table in the year ahead.
