The latest Cattle on Feed report shows feedlots are full across the country. If you do not believe in a cycle in the cattle business, think back to years when many feedlots closed and packers were making very little on each head they processed.

The growth in cattle numbers is showing some restraint and feedlots are looking at cheap corn for the foreseeable future. Oklahoma State University livestock economist Dr. Derrell Peel talks the numbers and the indications of a healthy industry from feeder cattle to finished stock.

Ron Hays, from the Rural Oklahoma Network, spoke with Dr. Peel after the Cattle on Feed Report was released.
