CASE IH unveiled their new driver-less tractor at Farm Progress Show Tuesday.

Rob Zemenchik is Global Product Marketing Manager with Advanced Farming Systems.

?An autonomous vehicle is a driverless tractor. This enables us to navigate through the field on pre-planned paths and performed tasks anywhere in the farming enterprise without the need of a driver.?

Zemenchik says they have spent a lot of years testing and developing all of the components that have went into this solution.

?We set the task for the tractor in less than a minute. We can assign it?s path plan to go through the field with a pre-programmed route all while the farmer sits behind a computer or uses tablet.?

The tractor is still in the testing mode and Zemenchik says it will be awhile before you start seeing them in the field.
