Cargill helps share the benefits of trade with consumers through a new initiative.
FedByTrade provides consumers facts about trade and trade deals. Cargill encourages its employees and producers to be “ambassadors” for trade by sharing how trade benefits them. The campaign arises amid public criticism, from the Trump Administration, about trade and trade deficits.
The campaign hopes to counter the Administration’s hostility towards trade deals such as NAFTA, KORUS and TPP. Cargill says the hostility impacts the agriculture sector, and affects farmers and rural livelihoods.
