Canadians doubt USMCA value to farmers

The new trade agreement finalized with Mexico and Canada is not a done deal.

There is likely to be push back in the United States for political reasons and in Canada for economic and political reasons. Mexico may approve it first, but that is also unknown.

It requires ratification by all three governments before it goes into effect. The pact also requires notification and approval by the other two countries, if any one decides to do a bilateral deal with a non-treaty country..
