The Iowa Biotechnology Association is accepting applications for its annual Partnering for Growth Biotech Innovation Showcase and Forum.

Joe Hrdlicka serves as executive director for the Iowa Biotechnology Association. Hrdlicka says the event presents agriculture technology companies an opportunity to showcase their innovations.

?For the companies, we hope to connect them with folks they could have partnerships with,? Hrdlicka said. ?When you look at the investor panel, that alone is eight folks from the ag tech, med tech and investment arenas. These people are going to give you great feedback. It?s a great place to highlight your technology, get it out there and make a connection or two.?

In addition to the innovation showcase, the event will feature a series of educational presentations, panel discussions and networking activities. The forum will offer best practices and opportunities for collaboration within the industry.

?There (will be) some great content panels on seed security and adversity, and investor issues. We have CEOs from POET and Boehringer Ingelheim Vetmedica making keynote presentations. There?s a lot of value to the content of this event, beyond the showcase itself,? Hrdlicka said.

The Partnering for Growth Biotech Innovation Showcase and Forum will be held March 20, 2018 at the FFA Enrichment Center in Ankeny. To sign-up for the showcase, visit www.iowabio.org/pfgapply. Applications must be completed by January 5, 2018.
