Biofuels are still getting ignored in favor of electric vehicles

Recently, the state of California announced that they will have a ban on the sale of new gas-powered cars by the year 2035. But just after they made the announcement, they had to ask people to stop charging their electric cars because the power grid couldn?t handle it. This continues a general obsession with electric vehicles that we?ve seen from policymakers in recent years.

Unfortunately, these policymakers continue to ignore a clean and affordable solution that we already have in biofuels. Iowa Congressman Randy Feenstra said they?d rather push misinformation about the cleanliness of electric power than admit that biofuels are an affordable and available solution.

For the sake of comparison, you could even say that corn and soybeans are like little batteries that we need to extract energy from. Feenstra said biofuels are great because they are a base-loaded form of energy.
