Whether or not we are having trade disputes around the world, the goal is to increase our markets for agricultural products. Dubai just played host to Gulfood 2019, the Middle East?s largest food trade show, which happens to be one of the largest shows in the world. U.S. beef products were on display to buyers on two continents.

One of the U.S. beef exporters in attendance was Eric Smith of Smith Packing Company in Utica, New York. Smith says the demand for American beef has been strong among Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries.

Smith says the Dubai location makes it convenient to market beef to African buyers as well.

Smith says by partnering with the US Meat Export Federation (USMEF), they can get the most value out of trade shows like this. This is due to the groundwork USMEF lays all year long.
