Be still, and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth! -Psalm 46:10
I love being busy. When I am stuck with nothing to do, I don’t know what to do with myself. At evening time I will sit, put on Netflix, and work on something. I do not just sit and watch TV. I am always doing something.
I sometimes find myself glorifying busy. I am always telling everyone what my week looks like, and how much stuff I need to do, and have already completed.
However, I have been learning that when I am always busy, and moving, I miss important details. I miss resting, being still, and spending time basking in what God wants me to take notice of.
Mountains are awesome and beautiful, I hope you have climbed one and experienced God through them. However, when mountains move land shifts and earth quakes. When a volcano is busy people have to leave their homes, damage is created, and chaos breaks out. Moving and being busy isn’t always a good thing.
Friend, today God wants you to be still and know he is God. Not be busy, and know He is God.
Prayer:” Lord, help me to be still in your presence today. Allow me to put down the list of things I need to accomplish and just rest, and bask in your presence. In your name I pray, Amen!”
