The year 2020 gave us several question marks for the future of dicamba and products like XtendiMax? from Bayer. The 9th Circuit Court in San Francisco revoked the 2018 EPA labeling for many dicamba products. However, the EPA gave a waiver to farmers who had already taken delivery of the products. Then in the fall, EPA gave dicamba a five-year certification. This gives farmers a sense of certainty going into this year?s growing season. Now, that all the legal hurdles are out of the way, it is time to talk about what the products are going to be able to do for your operation in 2021.

Alex Zenteno is with Bayer, and she talks about what we can expect from the XtendiMax? system in this growing season. She says that the system has a very high approval rating from the operators who are using XtendiMax?. She also talks about the changes in the registration guidelines for use of dicamba products.

Zenteno talks about their Spray Early with Confidence program for weed control. There have been enhancements to the program for the upcoming growing season.

Zenteno also talks about the importance of having dicamba in the toolbox for producers to be able to efficiently manage the weeds in their fields.
