by | Dec 22, 2021 | 5 Ag Stories, News

Just like in any industry, the future of agriculture depends on cultivating the minds and hearts of the younger generations. One of the ways we push agriculture forward is through sound education and training. However, we all know that a good education does not come cheap in the United States, and many students require some kind of assistance. It is in that spirit that the America?s Farmers Grow Ag Leaders Scholarship Program was created by the Bayer Fund. The application window for applying for a scholarship is now open.

Erin Glarner is the Grow Ag Leaders Program Manager. She says the Grow Ag Leaders program was developed to help encourage the youth of rural America to pursue careers in agriculture. She says that while some kids may not be interested in actual farming, there are ways they can out their interests and talents to use in support of the Ag industry.

Students who are enrolled or are planning to enroll in trade schools, community colleges, or four-year universities can apply for one of four $1,500 scholarships. You have until January 11th to apply.

Glarner reminds us of the dedication the Bayer Fund has by giving back to the agriculture industry and rural communities through various programs that it has available.
