Staying ahead of pests in your soybean fields is important. Getting the maximum amount of coverage in as few of passes of the sprayer is important as well. As bugs keep adapting, companies are constantly stepping up their game to keep you producing the best quality products. BASF is releasing Renestra? insecticide for use in the upcoming 2021 growing season.

Nick Fassler is the Manager of the Technical Marketing Group for BASF. He says that Renestra packs a one-two punch with the dual action of a pyrethroid and Inscalis? insecticide. This will give you broad control over pesky soybean aphids and a broad spectrum control that growers have come to expect from BASF products.

Fassler remarked that we have not had a really bad aphid year in some time. With the dry conditions Iowa saw in 2020, a mild winter could set us up with the potential for increased activity.

BASF feels that by adding Renestra? to its portfolio, along with Sefina?, gives farmers a few options when dealing with the number of aphids in their field. Fassler says that Sefina? is great on light populations, while Renestra? handles larger and more stubborn population along with some of Iowa?s other seasonal pests.

Fassler talks about when the ideal time is to go into your fields and attack aphids with Renestra? insecticide.
