At every level in this year’s elections, from the House, Senate and to the Presidency, wind power was a fixture of debate.

Through the election results, American Wind Energy Association CEO Denise Bode says it was proven that Americans overwhelmingly approve of wind energy, and that they vote for politicians who support the industry. Bode says the voters returned wind energy champions in both parties to Congress – and the Presidential outcome means the current administration’s support for the industry will continue.

Bode adds that it?s important Congress act immediately to support the wind industry by extending the Production Tax Credit so that farm communities can continue to partner with the wind industry and receive invaluable land lease payments.
