The success of Iowa farmers consists of work, sweat, and sacrifice. Legendary Iowa Hawkeye Coach Hayden Fry in 1985, knew the Farm Crisis of 1980’s touched many of his players and most of the fans. Fry created a decal for his team?s football helmets to show support for struggling farm families. The emblem, with the letters ?A-N-F?, stood for America Needs Farmers.

Today, Iowa continues to recognize the importance of America?s farm families, with the ANF emblem and the annual ANF football game at Kinnick Stadium. Celebrate America?s farm families and cheer on the Hawkeyes during this years ANF game on October 22 against Wisconsin!
