Ag economist questions corn/soy acres and yields

Evaluating this year?s crop conditions has been upsetting to farmers who had a difficult time getting corn and soybeans planted last spring.

Most seem to believe the Department of Agriculture?s (USDA) acreage numbers, especially for corn, are wrong. But the price of new crop corn hit contract lows yesterday after a big bounce at mid-summer.
