AFS Furrow Command makes maintaining seed depths easier

As planting season approaches, it?s important to think about how your equipment suits your operation. Your machinery should always work to make your job easier. It?s a little late to get some new equipment for this upcoming planting season, but it?s never too early to start thinking about next year. At this year?s Commodity Classic, Case IH showed off their AFS Furrow Command technology. Trent Nowosad, Case IH marketing manager for seeding equipment, talked about the technology they showcased.

AFS Furrow Command uses downforce automation to maintain a consistent seed depth. Nowosad explained how that will then help producers maximize their yields.

Nowosad said the technology doesn?t change how the seed drill works- instead, it provides much more accurate feedback.

Since AFS Furrow Command makes the seed drill easier to use, it lessens the burden on farmers and also allows less experienced operators to help out.

AFS Furrow Command is installed in the factory, so Nowosad said the equipment is basically ready to work right away.

Nowosad added that orders open up later this spring.
