AeroVironment drones: The next step in precision farming

Precision farming requires much more data to translate inputs into higher yields.  

Growers are using yield monitors and global positioning along with ground sensors to capture the output at season’s end. To track the progress of a crop in season, a new technology has literally flown onto the scene.

Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV), or drones, carrying cameras and other sensors to map a field and return that data for examination.
