The future of technology and innovation in agriculture is garnering much attention recently. There is much debate as to where we can go with production, and if we should really be going there. The Biotechnology Innovation Organization (BIO) is going to be holding their 2019 World Congress here in Des Moines.

2019 marks the first year food and agriculture joins the industrial and environmental sectors at the BIO World Congress. BIO?s Sarah Gallo says with the inclusion of agriculture, coming to Iowa just made sense.

This is not going to be a small gathering by any means. BIO represents over 1,000 companies, organizations, and research centers.

The Congress isn?t just about food and agriculture, there is a whole host of attendees who will make the trip to Des Moines.

The list of guests includes a who?s who in agriculture, both in Iowa and across the nation.

The BIO World Congress will be at the Iowa Events Center, July 8th ? 11th. Registration is still open by going to the BIO website.
