The Pork Checkoff is always looking for ways to promote the hog industry in the United States. One of those ways is the Hams Across America campaign. 2018 was another good year for the program.
If you aren’t familiar with the Hams Across America Program, Pork Checkoff public relations director Claire Masker explains the background.
There were over two million servings of pork donated through the program in 2018. This equates to over half a million pounds of product.
Masker says there was a good amount of social media activity for the program. She adds there is always a drive to be more giving during the holidays.
Masker says a simple search of, “#HamsAcrossAmerica”, will show everyone what was accomplished last holiday season.
