Former US Secretary of Agriculture John Block, an Illinois farmer who served in the Reagan administration gives insight to the new information revealed on Genetically Modified Foods.
A report came out this week from the National Academy of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine, which has released a landmark study confirming that GMO foods are safe for humans and animals to eat. It was studied that they do not cause cancer, allergies, or differ in any way than the food Europeans or other countries consume.
The scientific panel tried to objectively review the mostly political issue. Secretary Block says, ?We are beginning to set the record straight. We have heard misleading information criticizing about biotechnology. Hopefully, this new research can help to reasurre the doubters.?
